Avatar Shoes

SHOE ART!
I went to the mall the other day, and I spotted a payless and I suddenly decided that I wanted to customize my own pair of shoes. Why? Because I have nothing better to do.
Bascially, these shoes have some Kiran x Kiku fluff in them (Kiran belongs to ME! and Kiku belongs to !), but I wanted to make it sort of hidden. So I used a lot of symbolism, but at the same time I wanted to give the shoes a traditional Earth Kingdom/ Fire Nation representation. So, either way you look at them, it fits.
How long did it take me to do this? About 5 hours per shoe.
Matierials: Copic Markers, Prisma Markers, Sakura Microperm Pens, and Polycolor colored pencils. Used a fixative spray-on seal when I was done.
And if you just happened to be wondering, please don't ask me to make you a pair. I'll only do this for close friends. Sorry.

Left Shoe:
Left Side: Ba Seng Se

This was the first side I did and man it was SO much fun to do. But...it was also very challenging. ;>>

Right Side: Kiku flowers and books.

The Chinese character means, "Kiku". It's a popular Chinese flower called crysthemum. So, yeah....hence, you know....the crysthemums.

Left Side - Sun, Wrench, and Chopsticks with Fortune Cookie

Okay, the Chinese character means "Sun". Heh, Kiran's name means "sunlight" and it's the Fire Nation, so...yeah. A sun with the symbol for Fire in it. The wrench? Well, because the Fire Nation is good with gadgets and Kiran is also an engineer. Go figure. The fortune cookie and chopsticks? I don't know.

This one was a scary attempt, but...I did it! The only symbol I was worried about what the Fire Nation one. *whew*
